Test scores are so important when considering schools for your children. In Japan, TOEIC and TOEFL are the most common, but the following four are common in international schools and overseas study: SSAT, TOEFL, ERB, and MAP. 

For example, American schools generally requires a submission of SSAT and/or TOEFL scores, Nishimachi and Aoba international schools require a MAP score, and ASIJ asks for a SSAT score. Although the required test score level varies depending on the school, there is no doubt that having a high score will be a plus.
